Caps Off to Reghan

We are excited to celebrate Reghan as she officially earns her Julia’s Community certificate!

Julia’s Learning students complete a two-year Certificate of Completion while fully experiencing college life at Wingate University. Students participate in inclusive coursework, live on campus, and engage in the full student experience as part of the Bulldog community.

Reghan has shown strong commitment, growth, and determination throughout her journey. Her accomplishment reflects not only her hard work but also the confidence, independence, and strength she’s built along the way. Moments like this are what Julia’s Learning is all about, where students discover what they’re capable of and step into their potential.

Congratulations to Reghan, this is a big milestone and just the beginning of what’s ahead!

Rolling Into SpringGate Week with Casino Night

We closed out the semester with excitement as Casino Night kicked off SpringGate Week.

Students enjoyed an evening of themed activities, games, and social connection, setting the tone for a week that celebrates everything accomplished throughout the semester.

As we wrap the term, moments like these highlight the importance of community, engagement, and shared experience.

SpringGate Friday Field Day Brings Campus Together

SpringGate Friday Field Day brought students together for an afternoon filled with energy, laughter, and friendly competition.

From games across the field to shared moments with peers and staff, the event created a space where students could step away from routine and simply enjoy being part of the Wingate community.

It’s these kinds of experiences that continue to shape connection and belonging across campus.

Student Voices in Action

Students recently had the opportunity to be part of the Board of Trustees meeting, where they engaged with leadership, observed important discussions, and experienced the collaborative environment that helps guide our community. It was a valuable opportunity for students to gain insight into leadership, communication, and decision-making while participating in a unique experience beyond the classroom.

Following the meeting, Eli and Nico also had the chance to connect with one of the Board of Trustees members, creating a meaningful moment of conversation and engagement.

Learning Life Skills Together

Students also participated in one of the program’s travel training trips, where they practiced using public transportation while visiting SouthPark Mall and Amelie’s Bakery. These experiences help students build confidence, independence, and important life skills by navigating real-world environments, following travel routes, and engaging with the community in meaningful ways.
